Single Review - Essence by Rivver

Essence is going to be the latest release from Wigan indie rock band Rivver, which follows on from their debut release Elena, which was well received and showed they meant business. We were invited to give it a review before it's release 25th September 2020.

The, yet to be released, track further goes to show they are not resting on their laurels. The track opens up with a fresh sounding guitar before then giving a beat that takes us through the song. Matt Barber again gives us a powerful vocal performance with a hint of that Wigan accent showing through giving it a unique quality.

The track overall it a great up-tempo indie rock song which includes a powerful performance by singer Matt, setting it apart from the rest. The catchy chorus serves them well too as no doubt any audience will be singing right along with them wherever they gig. A solid performance from the band as a whole and one which they should be proud of. I eagerly await future releases as I see big things in store for Rivver.
