Introducing, The Shipbuilders, a four piece band from Liverpool who describe their own sound as "gypsy scouse surf". After listening to them for a while I would describe their music, which is hard due to their diverse mix of music styles, would be that their music style is a homage to late 60s brit rock, a time when rock branched out from the norm with experimental styles and a feel good attitude. This they pull off and with ease.
In late 2016, to see the year off well, they released their debut EP and have tenaciously played countless gigs in Liverpool to promote the release. In more recent months they've played Chester and Nottingham to broaden their scope and hope to play more out of town gigs throughout the summer. They are proud to have played a part in the SoundCity+ events and are looking to record their next single over the coming weeks.
