REVIEW - Crosses by Factory

There seems to be no sign of stopping for four piece indie rock band Factory. In recent months they've been signed up to Salvation Records who are helping them as we speak take their music to another level and every song they've released to date has been top quality in terms of lyrics, performance and feel.

They are due to release their latest single "Crosses" and through Gigslutz we got our first listen to it. The song starts off with expertly played raw guitar, drums and bass, which we have come to expect and love from Factory, but then incorporates harmonies and a unique singing style which gives the song a new feel.

Front-man Jay Shelley's vocals are phenomenal throughout as he sings through the song with a mix of his gravelly voice and a contrasting high-sung voice giving the song a welcomed mix of light and shade.

Overall, the song gives me a feel of 90s Brit rock similar to that of The Seahorses or Supergrass. Its a sound different then that of previous releases, but one that we are loving.

I have reviewed Factory's past releases and its great to see how much they are constantly evolving as they progress from single to single. I'll always set time aside to rave about the band or their releases. Their first Love Must Do set the bar high and since then they have improved ten fold and no doubt will continue to do so.

Check it out below and let us know what you think.

Crosses is released tomorrow. Visit their Facebook for more information
