Single Review: Soul Hill by Espedairs

Liverpool self-confessed Indie rock band Espedairs have recently released their debut single called Soul Hill and we jumped at the change to review it prior to their set at our upcoming event on 21st September at EBGBs Liverpool supporting 32 Tens.

On listening to the song it comes across less of a indie rock song, but has more of a grunge psych rock sound provided by front-man Bobby Diamond, with his vocals having a Ian Brown-esque style with its wispy and dreamy performance and the gritty guitar-work throughout cements the impression of this song being more than just a straight cut indie track and excels in being something more with elements of grunge and psych-rock.

Overall, Soul Hill, is a decent effort from Espedairs with it being their first single. They show throughout their ability to make a catchy song with honing in on various influences from across the board to create a track to shine out in the busy music scene recently. The track gives us a glimpse of what is to come from the band and we can't wait to see whats in offer from the band in the months to come.

They'll be performing for on 21st Sept supporting the 32 Tens. Tickets can be bought from our site. See you there.
