25th March 2017. Mark your calendars and clear your schedule. A night of top live unsigned music/artists is being hosted in Widnes, Cheshire, an area which has in recent years been privileged to have many an act travel from neighbouring music hotspots to perform. Our next event on the 23rd March will be a host to a roster of just a few of these top acts, which we’ll go through below:
Bravado Cartel
Hailing from in and around Yorkshire, Bravado Cartel, a five piece band, has in recent years been on the up and up. They describe their music as incorporating a fusion of Classic / Britrock / Indie Rock. they have had high praise from reviewers and fans alike and are sure to be worth seeing on the night.
Tranquil Sea
A relatively new band on the scene set up to provide a new spin on the music already out there. The four-piece from Liverpool describe their sound akin to that of Kings of Leon and Mumford and Sons.
The Quicks
The Quicks have played previously at a previous Softlad band night and we welcome them back with open arms knowing they’ll put on a belter of a show full of catchy riffs, sing along indie tunes full of attitude and well written lyrics. The four-piece from in and around Liverpool are indie to the core and with their well mixed music, experience and lyrics they are definitely ones to watch in coming years.
Liam Toomey
Solo Singer/songwriter, rapper and guitar player Liam Toomey, hailing from Liverpool is definitely one we are eager to see live. Describing himself as having “Smooth vocals and tight rhymes mixed with country love songs and pop choruses” he has definitely has us interested and looking forward to his set.
